Background:

The Batt Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is a Christian school and the education it provides is based on Christian values. The school is named after the Batt family who founded it. Part of the school was built in the 1920s, a second and larger section being added in the 1960s, and the latest addition being erected in autumn 1997. Each class has a computer and an allocated slot for work in the information and Communication Technology room. After-school clubs include football, netball, hockey and cricket. Children in Key Stage 2 are given swimming lessons as part of their physical education (PE) programme.
