Background:

Founded as a church school in 1849, Trinity is set in the centre of the market town of Henley. It moved into new buildings in 1965, surrounded by 'established trees and parkland'. It lies adjacent to Trinity church, with which it has strong links. It has a 'fine and long established' reputation for the performing arts, its choir and orchestra performing 'regularly' at county and local festivals. The drama group has 'created 12 musicals over the past 20 years'. Soccer, rugby, netball, hockey, cross country and cricket all provide 'enthusiastic and skilled teams' and teaches and parents 'strongly' support the sporting curriculum. Henley Young Musicians, an orchestra for the youth of the town, with ages spanning seven to 15, was founded at the school. The Henley Youth Festival, an annual festival in March for the whole area, has the headmaster as its 'founder member and trustee'. The school is proud of its 'academic reputation and work with children with special needs'. The parents are 'enthusiastic and supportive', the PTA being responsible for raising funds annually to 'widen the opportunities' for pupils.
