Background:
Mill Lane School was built in 1974 to accommodate an increasing number of children as the small village of Chinnor expanded. The classrooms in the main building are attached to open areas, which are used for more practical activities. The school has a library and a large hall, which is also the community hall for the village. It is fortunate in having extensive grounds where sport pitches are sited and excellent play facilities. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These include recorder club, cricket club, netball club, football club and athletics club. The school aims to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which they can develop as unique individuals.
