Background:
Founded in 1860, Finstock consists of Victorian buildings, with a modern extension and hall. It is a village school serving and working with two local communities (the villages of Finstock and Ramsden). This has resulted in 'considerable local pride in and support for the school'. A range of after school activities includes music, table tennis and chess clubs. The school is supported by a 'very able' school association, which involves the community in the school's functions.
