Background:

Banbury School is a very large 11 to 18 mixed comprehensive school on the southern edge of Banbury, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Banbury School has received the prestigious 'Sportsmark Gold' award in recognition of the quality of its curriculum, extra-curricular activities and links with community. The school has also been awarded the 'Football Association Charter Standard for Schools', winning the 'Regional Award' two years running. The school has many sports facilities which include two gymnasium, one sports hall, one hard court area - netball/tennis, fields - hockey, football, rugby, athletics; one all-weather, flood-lit astroturf and two outdoor basketball initiative sites.
