Background:
A secondary modern from 1962, the school has been a comprehensive since 1975. It serves mainly North Oxford and Marston. The school has grown rapidly in recent years and has recently gained a spacious sports hall and a well-equipped music and drama block. A particular strength of the school is its programme of extra-curricular activities. There are two orchestras and a wind band and drama is catered for in various productions and at GCSE and A-level. In sport, pupils have been under-19s county soccer champions for many years.
