Background:
Burford Primary School is situated in the heart of Burford town, close to the Priory. It is a small friendly school with about 90 pupils aged from four to 11. The oldest part of the school is a traditional Victorian building containing two very large classrooms, offices, the main hall (fully equipped for PE activities), a resource area and a kitchen, which provides cooked meals on the premises. A number of after-school clubs operate. These change from time to time and at present include environment club, drama club and sports club. Children are encouraged to develop an interest in and appreciation of music. The school aims to develop the social and moral awareness of each child to enable him or her to become part of a caring community.
