Background:
The Blake Church of England (Aided) Primary School was opened in 1982 to serve the Cogges estate. It was further extended in 1988 with the addition of seven classrooms making 14 in all. There are four main departments. Each class shares a central resource area with either three or four other classes in the department. The school has a large hall and a servery for lunches. It has 13 classrooms, a small music room and a well-resourced computer suite. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school'strives to provide a secure and happy community in which the child can develop intellectually, socially, morally, aesthetically, physically and spiritually.
