Background:
The foundations of the school date back to 1623, when the first recorded classroom on the site was built. As the school roll grew, a new open-plan building was completed in 1968 on a separate site across the main village road. Three more extensions since completed on both the old and the new school buildings, resulting in an art and craft workshop and a meeting room. Because of the dual site, the school has extensive grounds which are used for a variety of curricular and recreation activities. Sports include drama, dance, gymnastics and swimming.
